Family-friendly skiing with pistes and toboggan runs for all standards and all ages can be found in the local vicinity. Free ski buses take you to the largest continuous ski area in Austria,m the SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser – Brixental Valley and also to smaller and very popular destinations such as the Zahmer Kaiser Ski Area, the lifts in the idyllic Thierseetal or even the Hocheck ski area in Oberaudorf.

Ski touring is a natural experience of a simply special kind. In the Kufsteinerland, you will find countless possibilities for ski touring with various demands. Popular and well-known routes are also waiting here for you, as well as hidden gems in the region around the Wilder and Zahmen Kaiser.
Cross-Country Skiing
In Kufsteinerland, there are countless perfectly prepared cross-country skiing trails. Here, there’s the perfect challenge and trail length for everyone. Winter hikes
Perhaps you already know some of the winter hiking trails in our region from the warmer seasons of the year, but hiking in winter is also very popular. Peaceful forest trails and panoramic mountain routes make the winter hiking heart beat that little bit faster. Of course, there is often the opportunity to combine a winter hike with a fast-paced toboggan ride.

In our surrounding area, you will also find several ice rinks. But the Thiersee and Hechtsee lakes are enticing locations for some ice skating fun. If you’ve always wanted to try out ice climbing or snow biking, you are also in the right place here! In addition to this, a particular highlight, especially for our younger guests, is a horse-drawn toboggan run through the snow-covered landscape.
